The Joshua Tree Lake Campground is soul central
station for the Joshua Tree Roots Music Festival.
The Copper Mountains provide a red rock sunset
backdrop to this 40 acre privately owned venue,
which is located nine miles from the entrance to the
radically magical Joshua Tree National Monument. The
high desert of the mystical Mojave brings wonderful
vistas, magnificent sunsets and brilliant night sky
viewing. The campground is flat, open desert sand. Camping will be cozy, so use only the space you
need. Please be courteous of neighbors. |

Essentials: |
|
Plan
to Bring:
-
Print out and pack your confirmed
reservations and a Photo ID for camping
and will call.
-
Shade structures, sunglasses, hats, umbrellas & sunscreen/sun block for camp -
it's sunny and hot!!!
-
Portable chairs or blankets.. come & go from the
festival grounds all you want.
-
Stake down all tents/shade
structures solidly - it gets windy on
occasion!
-
Country Store on site - if you run out of
"the basics."
A
few simple rules...
-
Camp spots are all
first come, first serve (except for reserved RV with full
hook-ups).
-
ABSOLUTELY NO dogs
will be allowed around the lake or in the festival
area. Any dogs in campgrounds must
be well behaved and on a LEASH.
-
Family camp area will be a quiet zone
after dark from 11 pm to 7am.
-
No Hook-UP RV's are welcome and
will be in a designated area.
|
-
Hot showers, permanent toilets,
cool-down stations and port 'o potties with hand wash stations on site.
-
No amplified music or generators allowed in the campground.
-
Ice & water available at reasonable prices. It will be important to stay
hydrated.
-
No glass/alcohol in music bowl (Sierra
Nevada beers available in the bowl).
-
Cash and Credit available - NO ATM on site
(closest is in downtown Joshua Tree)
-
Please Recycle - Save our earth
from getting trashed. No
leaving your campsite a mess.
REALLY!
-
Plan to be neighborly.. Respect all your
fellow music loving campers.
-
Bring food if you like, but there are yummy
eats on site.
-
Plan to meet heaps of smiling friends and.. don't
forget your Dancing Shoes!
